Celebrate Your Christmas Party at Mountain View This Year

christmas-sweater-partyThe holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year—in fact, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! Each and every year, I can’t wait for Christmastime at Mountain View.

Why do you ask?

Because we, at Mountain View, love the holiday season just as much as you do, and we do everything we can to make it a wonderful stay for you and yours each and every Christmas.

I wanted to take a few minutes and a few paragraphs here on our blog to talk about some of our upcoming activities this year at Mountain View.

Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Back by popular demand, our Christmas sweater party is returning this Christmas season. And it’s not just any old Christmas sweater party, it’s an ugly Christmas sweater party for the entire family.

Not sure what an ugly Christmas sweater party is? Think of all of the tacky Christmas sweaters that you got when you were a child.

These parties are basically an homage to all of the ugly sweaters you had to wear as a kid, but making a fun event for the entire family. Whether you want to rock a Home Alone sweater or another famous movie sweater, you will find a place at this year’s party.

The uglier the better!

Christmas Gala

For those who don’t quite fit the mold of the ugly sweater party, we do have a more formal occasion that you can enjoy. Of course, it’s not an either—or. We would love to have you are both.

This year’s Christmas gala will feature a live Jazz band playing swing music from the 40s and 50s. This is black tie encourage (but not required).

Unveiling of the Christmas Tree

Every Christmas season, we have a Christmas Eve get together where we celebrate the season with the unveiling of our own Christmas Tree.

We will have the Christmas Tree up before that, but this event is really the christening so to speak of the Christmas tree the night before Christmas itself. All guests are welcome to attend and there will be complimentary hot chocolate and other tasty treats.

Downhill Ski Slopes and Tubing Hills

Some of our general winter activities, of course, include our world famous downhill ski slopes with over 20 different runs. These are open to everyone in Bungalow rooms, but other guests can purchase lift tickets at the front gate for a small charge.

We do offer ski and snowboard lessons if it is your first time, but if you aren’t interested in learning a new sport, you can always check out our tubing hill.

This is fun for the whole family and is incredibly popular among our guests—especially the kids! Be sure to get a tube while you still can!

As is the case every year, our main lodge has a world-class restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At night, we have a full bar that has live music each and every night.

If you do choose to stay with us this Christmas, we would love to have you and to make it a special place for you and yours.
